2025 Try Outs
The 2025 SFYBL All Star tryouts will take place on the following dates:
May 6 & May 8 – Mustang Division
May 7 & May 9 – Bronco Division
May 7 & May 9 – Pony Division
To be eligible to try out your child must have played in the 2025 SFYBL season in the Mustang, Bronco, or Pony Division. Players can only try out in the division played in 2025.
The All Star season will run from late May until early to late July. Practices will take place 2-3 days during the week with a weekend tournament most weeks. Please do not sign up for tryouts if you cannot commit to the schedule as it will be detrimental to the evaluation of all the players that can commit. Players will be evaluated on the first day of tryouts and will be notified if they advance to the second day of tryouts. The All Star summer program is a great experience for players and a chance for them to represent the SFYBL and San Francisco.
If you would like to sign your child up for tryouts please fill out the google form below completely and accurately. Please ask your coach if you do not know how to answer any question on the form BEFORE submitting it. Any incomplete form will not be taken.

PLAYER's How to prepare?
There's nothing much to do to prepare. Simply be yourself, try your best and have fun.
What to do?
Find the check in table. Check in. You'll get a number to put on, it goes on your back. You'll take your gear with you and go to an assigned field to warm up. Just follow drills and do your best. Do NOT eat in dugouts.
What to bring?
For your comfort DO come dressed to play baseball (baseball pants, athletic shoes).
Do bring your equipment and be sure it has your name on it (glove, helmet, bat, if you're a catcher - bring your gear.) Additionally, we recommend you bring a water bottle.
To be considered for All Star(s), candidates are required to attend at least one of the sessions for their age group. However, it is recommended that players attend both sessions for their age group.
Parents/Guardian - What to do? What to bring? Where do I go? Please allow your kiddo to come and check in at the reg-table (you can come with them.) Do sit in the bleachers. Do NOT go into the dugouts or the field. It is imperative that you do NOT communicate or coach from the bleacher. You may want to have a snack ready for your kiddo when they've completed their drills. Please do NOT give them snacks to have in their bags during tryouts/drills. We need their undivided attention. When they're done, do give them lots of props for a job well done.
Any questions please attend Q&A and get those questions answered
Thank you
