Beware of Field Closures Due to Saturated Fields

Befor heading out to your game or practice - be sure to check the SF Rec and Park rainout report.  If you click on the magnifying glass on the left side of each entry, you can expand the notice and find out if a specific field is open for play. Some fields may be closed even if it's not currently raining becuase they are too saturated to play without damaging them. Please do not play on a closed field. You may lose your practice field permit.

All Rec and Park Grass Fields are Closed This Saturday, March 17th

Due to the excessive amounts of rain we have recieved this week and more forecasted for tonight and tomorrow, the SF Rec and Park Dept has closed ALL GRASS FIELDS and the large diamond at Silver Terrace because it has a dirt mound and has been deemed too wet for play. Therefore, all SFYBL games are cancelled for March 17th unless your game is scheduled to be played on a turf field at 11:00am or later. Games scheduled for the 9:00am slot on turf fields have been CANCELLED DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF THUNDER ST

Game Plan for Saturday, March 10th - Games are ON!

Looks like the rain went away and the weather forecast is predicting just a 10% chance for tomorrow - March 10th. Therefore - all SFYBL games are ON! In the event of rain, please don't automatically assume your game is rained out. Teams should report to the field ready to play at their scheduled game time except if ONE of the following is true: 1 - The field has been deemed "Closed" by the SF Rec and Park department via their field rainout report  2 - A division commissioner has informed coaches via emai
